Position Description

Heavy Equipment of Texas has an opportunity for a technically strong field service mechanic for Manitowoc and Grove cranes in Iowa and eastern Nebraska. Come to work for a progressive and growing company working on world class products. We offer ongoing factory training. Residence location is flexible. Competitive compensation based on experience plus a full benefit package. Perform troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and in-service functions primarily on Manitowoc and Grove cranes. These duties would include all aspects of providing end user crane customers with a timely and efficient service experience. Work is performed at customer locations accessed via company supplied truck and at times will require overnight travel.

Primary Responsibilities/Duties

Technical

  • Well versed in the diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of heavy crane systems to include electronics, hydraulics, booms, electrical systems, carriers, winches, and undercarriages.
  • Formal training in general or specific products in these areas is required.
  • A technical college degree or a structured on the job training program must have been successfully completed.
  • 5 years’ experience in field service of heavy equipment is required; preferably hydraulic/lattice cranes.
  • Crane certification (Lattice Hydraulic All Terrain Crawlers National) a plus!

Position Description

Manages and directs the operations and activities of heavy equipment operators within the guidelines of operating manuals, state laws and regulations. Reports to Product Director or other designated persons and works with co-workers, employees, and the public to provide maintenance services.

Primary Responsibilities/Duties
  • Directs and manages the operations and activities of heavy equipment operators. Trains, coaches and evaluates assigned personnel and develops for career opportunities. Identifies work duties and assigns crew. Processes and maintains time cards and coordinates shift changes. Serves as a resource to subordinates.
  • Oversees the daily placement, spreading and compaction of waste material and the placement of daily and intermediate cover materials.

Position Description

Responsibilities will include preparing all rental contracts, quoting rental rates, answering rental and used equipment inquiries, writing detailed work orders, handling walk-in customers, dispatch of our delivery haul truck, preparing units for shipment, and other various tasks that may be assigned by the Rental/Used Equipment Manager.

Successful candidate must be highly motivated, a self-starter, and have excellent oral and written communication skills. Position Description

The Product Marketing Manager will have responsibility for the overall marketing for designated Heavy Equipment of Texas construction products (this position may focus primarily on hydraulic excavators). The position will require substantial travel for meetings with our plant personnel, vendors, regions, distributors and end use customers. Sales and market share goals will be developed by the Product Marketing Manager and Product Manager, and approved by the Director Product Marketing & Planning, Division VP/GM, and Office of the Chairman.

Job Requirements
  • BS or BA in Engineering or business is highly preferred, or an extensive equivalent knowledge of construction and mining applications and equipment. Advanced (MBA) is preferred, but not required.
  • Previous heavy equipment marketing experience at an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or OEM distributor highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction and mining methods, key success factors, techniques and trends in the industry.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex technical situations, determines root cause, identify actions, and lead resolution and implementation. Must have the mechanical aptitude to look at drawings, schematics, etc.
